I love this elegant tree, standing so shapely against the sky, her feet in a pool. There is no shame in her barrenness, just surrender to the strong winds that have stripped her back to a winter skeleton. The scene is almost monochrome, but not quite and you can feel the stillness. The bare branches are of course a reminder of the old wreck’s shattered timbers in yesterday’s post… 🙂
