Last summer these legs appeared in our local park! WOW – someone was certainly ‘showing and telling’ us something! A passing child was heard to ask his mother if giants had landed upside down in the flower beds!?!
Incase anyone can’t guess the answer to this one: In 2012 Team GB used Loughborough University as their Olympic training base, so in honour of the synchronised swimming team being in residence the Loughborough in Bloom committee sponsored 3 students at Loughborough College of Fine Arts to make these perfectly synchronised legs of ladies apparently swimming in the flower beds. It doesn’t get much more surreal than that… but the town did win a Britain in Bloom gold award for it’s efforts and Team GB won lots of medals – so win:win!
